About

Indonesia Price Intelligence shows what staple foods cost across Indonesia — 18 foods in 34 provinces — and how those prices have moved over the last 7 and 30 days.

Where prices come from. One source: Bank Indonesia’s PIHPS price panel, collected daily. Official figures on the Economy page are credited to the agencies that publish or calculate them — inflation, for example, is calculated by the BIS and the IMF from BPS’s consumer price index.

How Ask uses AI. A language model writes the answer from figures this site has already computed, and shows them beside it. It never produces a number itself.

What it does not do. It calculates no inflation index and does not replace figures from Badan Pusat Statistik. It does not forecast prices. It has no data for the four newest Papua provinces.

How each figure is made: methodology. Every source considered: source registry.
